Velma Donahue moved to Colorado in 2003 from Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was born and raised in Bosnia. In 1994, her family immigrated to the United States as refugees to begin a new life.
She and her husband, Cody, loved Colorado from the first time they visited friends and family in 2002, and they decided to more here. Currently she lives in Parker where she and Cody just purchased a home that they are remodeling. They now have two daughters. In her spare time she likes to go shopping with her best friend and sister-in-law. Her hobbies include reading, watching HGTV and DYI Network, and working on home projects. Her favorite pastime is doing family activities and enjoying everything Colorado has to offer.
Velma’s first job in Colorado was in the Mortgage Industry. It wasn’t until 2006, when their first baby girl was born that Velma fully discovered the amazing world of Real Estate. She decided to give Real Estate a try because it offered more flexibility and greater career potential. Her life in Bosnia had taught her the importance of having a home, and she feels passionate about helping people achieve the “American Dream.” During the last seven years, she has worked for a couple of other Real Estate companies; however, the BTT Real Estate team is the one she calls home and family. Velma truly loves her career and making a difference in people’s lives.
Velma’s experience in Real Estate ranges from working with first time home buyers, veterans, retired buyers, relocating buyers, clients looking for second or vacation homes, and investors. She has experience in all aspects of Real Estate transactions including standard sales, foreclosures, short sales, estate sales, for sale by owners, auctions, and land transactions.
